No one loves to read holy books though they contain solutions of all human problems. Our artists are using tool of holy icons to guide our societies. Modern saint icons establish a new desire in the mind of onlooker. He/she may ignore traditional preachers, men ministry but these modern figures appeal like a modern day teaching to enjoy continuous happiness in midst of several struggles of human life.
Holy Icons are not new in the history of Christianity. They
originate in the very early centuries of Christianity. The
pictures of saints in our orthodox churches have climbed one
ladder more as Pope Francis canonized Elizabeth Hesselblad recently; a
Lutheran convert who hid Jews during World War II, All these icons are made with deep, bright colours over gold leaf
backgrounds. There is non-glare satin lamination and UV protective vinyl
coating on it. At times of no intrinsic meanings, Christine Simoneau Hales
makes the audacious claim that meaning lying with our modern saint icons can bring
a big change in the life of our stressed people. Her “Eyes of Fire” educates us
to look for the sacred in what your eyes are seeing.
